the heavens DUMPED on me at wairakei. the bp station was invisible from rain bouncing off the tarmac, but i found their truck bay and was soaked. the roof spouting was not coping, and cars were pulling off the road to shelter til you could see where you were going.
That can't have been very pleasant. Thanks for letting me know. I feel better now knowing that we made the right decision not to head down that way. I was fairly sure there was rain about, even though Auck stayed dry. Sounds like you had a good day out though 🙂
