Hot, anyway, but be prepared for a Monsoon. 😮 Great road now sealed all the way. 😀 Petrol available at Hohoura, and Waitiki Landing (about 20km sth of the Cape). Machine-produced coffee available at Te Kao store. Good backpackers accomm. at Waitiki Landing ($15p night) with excellent eating, but only cold shower when we were there. 😮Warnings: poor to non-existent cellphone coverage the further north along the peninsula, thieving abounds at the Cape car-park. (a HD rider had his very-wet boots taken when he left them by his bike to walk to the lighthouse barefoot- rode home barefoot too! ???). Choose your weather, wet humid conditions destroyed any hope of viewing the sea!
