Received the following message seeking help.  Gilles' email is in the message if you are able to offer advice.[hr]Dear Peter, Bruce and Garry, I am French and I started a "beekeeping" world tour on my BMW 1150 Adventure SEVEN years ago. I have already done France, Spain, Morocco, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria, Liechtenstein, Italy, Switzerland, Corsica, Sardinia, Italy, Greece, Bulgaria, Turkey, Cyprus, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Pakistan, India, Nepal, China (+ Tibet), Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Timor and Australia. Please visit http://www.worldbees.com to see my itinerary (and lots of pictures). At the moment, I am in Sydney dealing with the Australian Customs and Qantas Freight in order to ship by plane my motorbike to Auckland in one week. I want to stay two months in your beautiful and friendly country before to continue to Chile. I have a few questions: 1) Just in case of need, could you advise me on a BMW garage with the best ratio quality of service/prices (name, address, tel., email and waypoint)? 2) Do you have any of your members experiencing a temporary import of vehicle in NZ and able to give me some advices. I have a CPD (Carnet de Passage en Douane). 3) Surely I have to stay a few days close to the airport in order to clear all the paperwork with different NZ administrations (Qantas freight, MAF Biosecurity, Customs, Transport Services Delivery for inspection, insurance, etc.) and I am wondering if I can be hosted for this short time by one of your members living around? 4) I have a Garmin GPS with all the maps of NZ. Do you have any document(s), or file(s) with recommendations for motorbikers of nice spots, scenic roads, place to stay at night, etc.? In advance, thank you for your kind collaboration 😉 And you are the most welcome in my farm in the South-West of France...  when I will be there, I mean in three years! PS: sorry for my bad English 🙁 Best regards, Gilles RATIA President of Apimondia: http://www.apimondia.orgInternational Beekeeping Consultant: http://www.apiservices.infoWebmaster of the "Virtual Beekeeping Gallery": http://www.beekeeping.comBeekeeping Globetrotter: http://www.worldbees.com APISERVICESBeekeeping Development"Le Terrier"F-24420 Coulaures - FRANCE Phone: +33 (0)5 53 05 91 13Mobile: +33 (0)6 07 68 49 39Do not dial (0) out of FranceSkype: ratiaonlineEmail: gilles@apiservices.com

Makes our 30 year rally a kindy affair!Dealers are here. http://www.bmwmotorrad.co.nz/Past Christchurch basically you are on your own. But the larger towns like Dunedin and Invercargill & Timaru have past experience of BMW and the local garages would direct you to the best option. You gotta do the west coast of South Island: Westport - Haast.
