Ok, some of you may know that we've recently been to Europe and a few other places along the way.  This is why I have posted these pictures here. The will be more along these lines and perhaps a few more about the locations we've been to. In case you are wondering why it's under ride reports, we did actually ride to the BMW Days in Garmisch Partenkirchen by bike. Reinhard and Veronica, who we've met at the BMWOR Annual Rally in Twizel, actually transported their bikes to Garmisch, so we could ride together. That was a 4 hour drive for them! The first lot is from Airhead specialist Gletter. DSC01130.jpgDSC01131.jpgDSC01132.jpgDSC01133.jpgDSC01134.jpgDSC01135.jpgDSC01136.jpgThe next lot was taken at the Motorrad DaysThe first few bikes are from Edelweiss Motorsport. These guys are not to be confused with the tour guides. Edelweiss Motorsport builds high performance machines and they are famous for their cams. They've had up to 120hp out of their airhead race bikes. The orange GS has been built to Paris-Dakar specs. It started out as an R80GS Basic, before it became a 48000 Euro motorcycle. We just happen to stay at the same hotel, so we had a chance to get to know them a little. We got to use their tent as a base for our gear. This was fortunate, as it was stinking hot.DSC01152.jpgDSC01154.jpgThe brake lever is the only part they haven't messed withDSC01163.jpgDSC01167.jpgDSC01188.jpgThey also had an R1200 HP2 Sport with 157hp. But since it's not an airhead it will turn up elsewhere.DSC01151.jpgDSC01158.jpgDSC01167.jpgDSC01189.jpgDSC01195.jpgDSC01196.jpgDSC01198.jpgDSC01202.jpgDSC01203.jpgThe 30 Years GS displayDSC01211.jpgDSC01212.jpgDSC01215.jpgDSC01216.jpgDSC01222.jpgI left out the R900RR and the later oilheads.Helge Petersen's bikeDSC01213.jpgDSC01214.jpgDSC01234.jpgShort legs? Not a problem, there is an airhead just for you 🙂DSC01236.jpgOk, here is an exception:DSC01237.jpgDSC01251.jpgDSC01252.jpgDSC01263.jpgDSC01262.jpgDSC01290.jpgLast but not least some R90S, rare as hens-teeth? These guys came up from Spain.DSC01338.jpgDSC01339.jpgDSC01340.jpgDSC01341.jpgHope you've enjoyed my little album. Let me know if you want to see the rest.
