Danny B. suggested Beatty's to me. They fixed it overnight.

Got my clutch back, another overnight service. A little bit more expensive than quoted, but if it works it's ok.$170 buys you this.DSC09189.jpgDSC09190.jpg

It's taken me 3.5 hours to get the bike back together. Hopefully I got it all right. I even remembered to lube the splines. The drive shaft is sorted  and the clutch reconditioned, got all new seals in the transmission. I haven't ridden it yet, but have had it running and in gear. The clutch action is fine, no judder when engaging and it releases when it should. Hope this won't change when it's under load.My apprenticeship is progressing, thanks to a very helpful Mr. Airhead.

what was the problem with your crutch. I picked up one of your countrymen hitching today sth of Coro Town.  He thought it was not very funny that you had to pay for a shower. Sign said “50 cents per shower for 5 minutes. Only takes 5 cent pieces.” He used it but did not pay,  I did not have the heart to tell him what the story was.

The clutch was fine, but at the low end of the wear limit. I probably should have just left it alone. At least it works just as well as before. The main problem were the tranny leaks. The drive shaft had a tiny amount of play in it, that's now also fixed. However, the universals are about 10 degrees out of phase, so success may only be temporary there. We'll see. I am getting to know the bike, though.

I've finally had time to put the new tank on the bike. The only thing left to do it to change the fork oil and pay for the registration, then I am ready for the next adventure ride. some time during the last two weeks of January would be good. DSC09192.jpgDSC09194.jpg
