Just sent the following to the “Ride Forever” site as a comment about one of their ACC videos, wonder if I'll get a reaction?
"Riding in Groups" Video: I sometimes use this video for training purposes. I picked up another copy this morning from a Police/ACC stop (a spare to give away to a rider without one). It still has the same glaring error in it.Chapter "Group Riding Strategies", time 0:56 to 1:21 - ride staggered, two seconds back from the bike in the line ahead of you (ie, 1 second behind the bike staggered off from you).1:38 to 1:46 - at corners or other hazards move to single file, 1 second apart. BULLSHIT!!!Thank goodness I and my fellow BMW Owners Register Rider's in Charge know better than this.

Auntie STELLA will be there to help me to sleepThe luggage is off to the gold coast for some serious sun bathing and a catchup with some rellies !RegardsRincewind
We saw ya at the races but too snobby to answer me yelling across to you asking if you wanted to have a pair of earplugs as I had a pocket full of them.I arrived at BP and missed the roadblock as I went my usual way in around the left perimeter but thought the boys in blue were going to come across to me but they must have decided I was a law abiding kinda guy as they left me alone.Just as well as my warrant had run out yesterday, but I went across anyway and scored a visyvest so pretty good.On the way back with Tony stopped for an icecream at Clevedon and met up with Hilton and friends for a chinwag.Left Tony and went down Twilight road over the twisties and was having a blast along the straight when two bikes appeared from nowhere behind me, methinks s%#@% they must be cracking on and don't they look like white RT's with all the gear on, so it was a quiet ride to Whitford when they turned off, probably spoiled their ride for them having to follow a law abiding citizen !!!

hey Bwucie, most of the loyal fold are like "brown's cows" wandering along in a lot looser formation. I agree, 1 second could be scary for/with some.I do not know where I inherited my parsimonious nature, but I heard out the tyre pressure lesson from the lovely lass so I could enjoy the freebie (pressure gauge!), as she insisted bending down to demonstrate/check it's operation.
Morning all,I was having a look though some of the links on the Canterbury BMW site... is this still being used?? And followed a few of the links to find some rider training.. Dan Ornsby has posted that ACC has subsidized courses for another three years!!!! Should be no excuse to get along now... Every bit helps!Dave http://motorcycletraining.co.nz/acc-subsidized-courses/
