I've been looking at how I can make the 650x a bit more enjoyable to ride and have added a screen as well a new can. The bike is transformed with just these two mods. The next is the replacement of the rear air suspension with an Ohlins this month. This will stop the bike diving up and down under braking. The 650x dives a lot more than my HP ever did.The new can is fantastic it sounds great and the left side of the bike is lighter I can not believe how the bike rides in the corners with the weight of the BMW can gone.
nice looking ride Dean – Pampa aka Pablo on KB is an active user of his 650X in ADV rides down here in the South of the North.

It will be just the ticket for bouncing up the rock wall at the 42nd traverse.
AnonymousGuest14/09/2009 at 9:42 amPost count: 2134I had the bike out on a gravel ride yesterday and found the bike performed well with the new Ohlins it's 100% better than original rear suspension. I'm now adjusting the suspension front and rear so I can have the bike more or less float over rough sections of terrain without the front diving like it did under braking with the air suspension.
Dean. As BMW New Zealand most loyal customer could you ask them why they keep putting crap suspension on bikes and not ohlins from the factory

BMW replacement rear suspensions are more exspecive than ohlins :-o. The 650 air suspension is $1000 more. There are 3 BMW bikes that comes with ohlins.
yeah but my point is they all should
