South Island RAG Rally: 1st-3rd of November 2024

This year’s awesome Rally is going to be held in the small West Coast town of Light, Reefton, it has this nickname due to it being the first town in the Southern Hemisphere to have a public supply of electricity (street lighting). Originally named Reef Town, this quickly became known as Rest Town, quite handy for us weary motorcyclists. Reefton History

We will have a road ride & plan on having 2 gravel routes which will allow us to to cater to different levels of enthusiasm.

We are leaving the accommodation for you to book yourselves, the town has choices to suit all tastes & budgets from camping to boutique.

The organised dinner will be on Friday evening because Saturday’s dinner is often pushed back following the dirty dusty brigade returning, cleaning up & being ready on Saturday. Friday’s dinner is a fundraising 2-course BBQ by the local school, with plenty of meat choices, salads & dessert. (Please let us know of any special dietary requirements & we will do our best) You pay for this dinner on the Registration form.

The Dawsons Hotel say they can cater for a bunch of us turning up on Saturday for our evening meals – you pay the Hotel for this on the night.
