BoGSor is the man to talk to about these. It requires a small amount of mechanical skill to mount the hall sensors (there are two on the plate) to the plate and fit the plug to the wire. Also timing will require resetting. Fortunatlty this can be done statically on these bikes.Do a search on ADVrider website

Hi guys.Has anyone got any experience with these hall effect sensors http://www.jaycar.co.nz/productView.asp?ID=ZD1900I am curious to know if they last in the ignition of our bikes in particular the R1150GS. They look like a far cheaper alternative to buying a new unit from BMW.Adrian

Yep they work just fine had some in my ruffy for a few years now. They where a problem with the wiring on the 1100 but not such a common problem on the 1150 has your bike stopped. They are easy to check in place. Remove the front cover drive belt and bottom pulley with the ignition on pass a feeler guage through the sensor the injectors should click and the plugs should spark.
