Dazza, if ya gunna have a rant get on with it & give us the whole story. My crystal ball does not decipher your cryptic messages. It may be because I have it set to common sense & not undecipherable dribble. If ya can't fill us in on the issue stop wasting bandwidth. PS fact is what I want fact not fiction or chinese whispers. (no offence to our Asian members)Negative attitudes do nothing with the positive things that occur with these group of people that are on this forum that have the common interest of BMW bikes.I say the moderator should delete this thread.

C'mon, Steve, you've just made a completely sensible post, expressing, I am sure, many other peoples' thoughts, and in nearly standard English. Just about a world first, so you MUST be passionate. And you want me to delete the thread?

That obviously wasn't Steve, I think he must have left his computer logged on to the website and someone sensible got hold of it.

yes very unlike me to treat something with such a serious comment, but I worked with a guy whom was always negative & it just dragged the moral down & it made my time at work very unpleasant, along with me workmates. In the end will told him we were sick of his negative attitude & he had two choices. Play the game and no more bitching and get on with life OR f^#k off and find someone else to annoy.

Its beginning to show why the BMWOR had THE Executive positions to be renewed every 2 years . TOO MUCH POWER GOES TO YA HEAD

    • The Constitution of BMWOR was amended by the members to allow the term of Executive members to be open-ended: people power.
    • The decisions of the Executive of BMWOR are ratified by the membership at the monthly meetings: people power.
    • It is difficult to form a conspiracy in the light of day: the Handbook, Constitution and Executive Plan of BMWOR are on the record in the public domain. The rules, aims and ambitions all there for inspection - damn, no secrets.
    • If YA as in "TOO MUCH POWER GOES TO YA HEAD" is meant, by any chance, to be our current President I would be reasonably confident that those around him would be fairly quick to yank his chain if he attempted to deploy any "power". And one person doesn't have the ability to create massive mayhem within the rules of the Register. (Cue Wagner music: Brigadier-General Tibbs and his 600 Biker Fiends storm Parliament and effect a putsch? I think not!)
    • We all have the opportunity to offer our services to replace those whom we fear are becoming, or have become, too powerful via the democratic processes of the Register. (Probably doesn't apply to Associate Members like me: the Constitution doesn't make it clear if we have voting rights, I'll assume not until informed otherwise)

Anyhoo, I think Steve's comment in his last post probably sums things up quite well. Also sprach Bwucie (with a nod to Nietzsche and Richard Strauss, not Wagner).

this thread reminds me 1 type of incident we attend many of at work that infuriate all parties involved except the alleged offender or “thread starter” in this place. its called the "hit and run".any way I think I have made my quota of "sensible comments" for the year and will have to return to my "semi humorous undercipherable annoying mode".on a side note I had a package arrive faster from Boxxerworks in Chermany, than a package from Auckland. thanks Courier Post your amazing "yeah right"

Well done Mr Bell didn't know u could speak sensible, Do I not have the right to show I'm negative on how the BMWOR is being run at the moment.

Darryl, of you course you do. But you need to be specific on what bugs you, not just make a statement like that. What don't you like and how should it be instead? I've been a member for a little over ten years now, and I am not sure I can remember the last time you were happy with how things were being run.  Sometimes this place is like the Muppets, with Waldorf and Statler sitting in the back row grumbling to themselves. Statler_Waldorf.jpgW: That was so bad, it locked up my computer!S: Quick! Let's get out of here before it finds the key!

I once worked for a wonderful outfit that made a decision that all and sundry had to be positive. No negativity was tolerated  8)I raised an issue and was immediatly proclaimed to be negative,  :-[ To which my reply was "am I negative or honest"?  😮Ok so having put that load of tripe out there, the opening address to this whole thread said nothing, it was a bunch of words that could be interpereted by whoever read them to mean whatever the reader construed or fantisized them to mean  😮If an issue is bugging someone then it befalls on that person to raise the issue in a constructive (thus positive) manner.  ;D This insures the issue can be debated and hopefully resolved to the satisfaction of all (or at worst the majority). We place to much emphasis on the right to freedoms, including the freedom of speech. How about the need for responsibilty, in other words "if you say something, make sense please"  ;DAs you were  8)

Dazza, of course you have the rights on your views, we are not in Syria, but a 7 word diatribe  "TOO MUCH POWER GOES TO YA HEAD" really makes it hard for the rest of us work out what ya on about. As I previously stated "give us the whole story. "

The Constitution of BMWOR was amended by the members to allow the term of Executive members to be open-ended:I didn't know this had been changed, but have not been a member for yonks. The 2yr limit was good. We were forced to share the burden. Sure the arms folded looking away syndrome existed, but even I put my hand up, did my bit for 2 and got out.
