I was wondering how many Kms a year you do on your pride and joy?I average 30,000kms annually on my F650GS twin and before I bought my bike I used to average 20,000-25,000kms in my car. Last calendar year I only did 7,800kms in my tin top!So how many Kms do you do bike verses car annually? It's Gr82briding!

In the car maybe a 1000, if that. On the bikes it's been about 20000km a year for the last 9 years.

Less than three in the Waka Holden (maybe a bit more this year, 'cos of the big gap between bikes), 8 – 10,000 on a bike, about 10,000 on the treadle machine commuting and the odd toddle around in the weekends.

0km in a car, well, I don't have one, but sometimes I'm in someone elses…A Hornet CB919 I use for work consistently does 15k a year. The BMW with a slightly odd year (about half the time I couldn't ride it and I rode it a hell of a lot in the rest) did just under 40,000km. I'd expect the next couple of years to be more around 30k, but who knows. So all up, somewhere around 40-50k a year...

Never really tallied them up but not as many as we did back in the old days, but we still enjoy every one.  Out of interest I did a google check on our recent trip south and it came out at 2,923 Auckland – Wanaka – Auckland.  Three day stop over in Nelson, and four days in Wanaka everywhere else just overnighters.  If the weather looks good for the weekend we're expected in Hastings on Sunday for a 90th birthday so could be another quick trip  🙂 might take the Frigate for a run.
