Thanks team for all your caring and helpful advice. My philosophy has always been “you have to spend money to save money” and boy have I been saving lots of money lately!

I decided to take the day off and product test my new Sargent seat. The seat is 20mm wider and 20mm thicker than the OEM one so the ergo relationship between seat and pegs is improved which allows a more comfortable position for my gammy knee which is a good start +1 (you'll be happy to hear that Crusierboy and I will be seeing you on the weekend!) it also means that the seat height has increased from 820mm to 840mm, I'm 5'10" so it's not a problem for me and my feet are still pretty much flat on the ground.I did 350ks of a mixture of seal and gravel with a total time of around 5hrs in the saddle and I'm happy to report that the Sargent is way more comfortable (at least at this early stage) than the OEM. Normally my butt would start shifting after 250ks but I had no problems what so ever so, so far so good +2. The other thing I found is whenever I used to see a significant dip in the road surface I found that I would have to lift myself (read my butt) off the OEM seat to save my it from the impending impact but with the Sargent I can stay seated +3.Here are some picsI'm interested to know if anyone else owns a Sargent seat and if so do you prefer it over the OME version?Anyway it's Gr82briding!

An update for you all (and Youngjim inparticular) Re my Sargent Seat.I did over 500ks yesterday on the new Sargent seat and I'm haapy to report that it is an improvement on the OEM version! But by the end of the day I was feeling it some what but I didn't expect it to be the be all and end all of long distance travel arse pain. The other thing I forgot to mention is that I still have full range of movement when standing on the pegs.It's Gr82briding.
