It’s nice to see BMW with the S1000RR finally win a WSBK race in race one at Donington on Sunday and get their first 1/2 finish to boot. Should have been the same result in the second race too if not for some super aggressive racing on the last corner of the final lap that saw Jonny Rea take out Leon Haslam while he was in the lead and Leon sliding into his teammate Marco Melandri who was second to rob them of the points. BMW would have been leading the manufactures race too if not for the carnage. What fantastic racing though, some of the best I have seen and so far this year and there have been 5 different manufacture’s win races. It’s good to see top class racing where literally anyone has a chance of a podium unlike MotoGP where it seems that there are only a few who have the machines and the skills to be successful. It’s Gr82brinding!

Go Marco Melandri! A first and second at Utah yesterday to move up to equal second place overall in the WSBK championships! Go BMW!
