You couldn't pick a better weekend for a run around the peninsular.  Blue sky, sunshine and warm day time temperature and those Coro roads sans tourist traffic, wonderful.  A good number met at Papakura on Saturday morning heading off for the run to Kopu for the start of the good stuff.  The group got a little fragmented from this point on which is par for this particular piece of tarmac, however we all cruised in to the pub at Coroglen for lunch within a few minutes of each other to partake in their wholesome fare.  The burgers are traditional and do come with beetroot as they have for ever even though  Macdonalds think they have just found something new.  TESTPICS002.jpgTESTPICS001.jpgThose of us who stayed over had a pleasant evening in the Admirals with more good tucker and the thought of the "GAME" later in the night to keep us excited.  Hmmmm 'nuff said.A casual breakfast in the main street this morning before heading our different ways, us joining Rob and Linda and Paul and Gill to cruise down the Firth coast which was of course stunning and the Dolphins frolicking off the beach added to the fun.Good to meet up with some new faces and a timely reminder of why we belong to the club.  Thanks to all who participated.

An absolutley great weekend, met some really nice people and the edge was only just taken off the event by not being well enough to take the bike, however with the roof down and the sun shining the MG was a good substitute. We had another ride on the Driving Creek Railway before setting off home on Sunday, for anyone who hasn't done this trip it is a brilliant tribute to Barry Bicknells lifes work and makes you wonder if the man ever slept throuout its construction. Thanks again to Bruce for leading us all safely to the lunch venue on saturday, Barbara and I only had one straggler to tidy up as T.E.C. Neko was determined to stand her ground on the corner and wait for Barbara and Dave, she just diddn't hear the bit about us being on four wheels......boy did she take off in a hurry of embarrassment when she realised why were were honking her though...!!!! I think she was hungry and wanted to make sure she got to Corroglen before all the burgers were gone.RegardsRincewind
