Bought my F800ST recently, and it came with only one key.I have ordered another, as losing a key is my favourite pastimes, especially when I really need to go somewhere.I'm going to have to change pastimes, as the new key is costing $152 plus GST. That's $175.I know that it includes a very high security factor, but I still feel like Mr Bmw has just bent me over and spanked me.Cringe.
It's criminal Daffy. But when my wife got her little Mercedes SLK import we had to get a new key from Coutts $425 incl GST !!!!!!! I bet there are a few stories like this. :-
yep, guy at work has a Holden, he is still sore around the back.

There is a chinese locksmith who has a shop in China Town off Te Rakau drive in East Tamaki who has branded blank keys for all the expensive model cars and he charges around $150 for a chipped key.
That's useful info Jim, 😀 hopefully we won't be in need again but good to know just in case.
(Famous last words:)When I took possession of the Z3 & the dealer handed me the key, "BTW, there is only one key." Didnt take too long to research the key situation: Plain key opens door, boot & glovebox only.

Should have got yourself a G450X, doesn't have an ignition key so no expensive replacements.Of course it does have a steering lock, lose that key and your only option is lots of big doughnuts ;D
