Malcolm wants to see some real horsepower, and I really like people that volunteer!Leaving BP, Southbound Motorway Service Centre, Papakura, at 0930.  Could even be a sideshow of Bwucie breaking out in a bright red rash: I'm allergic to horse danders.

http://www.clydesdales.co.nz/index.phpWe've been wanting to see these majestic animals close up for a long time.  As the visit is the aim of the trip we plan to take a direct route crossing the river at Rangiriri and heading straight down to Pirongia to arrive about 11.30am.  We could then have lunch and do the tour or vicki verko depending how hungry we are.  You will see they do short wagon rides round the village which take about 20 minutes at a cost of $10 per person but this must be organised prior to arrival.    Expressions of interest would be useful should anyone feel inclined to take a ride.

If you haven't seen the Clydesdales yet Sunday is the day.  The Metvuw forcast is perfect as promised and the staff in the Cafe are primed and ready to go.  The main event will be those magnificent animals of course so do put it on your calendar – see you there.
