hello alldoes anyone here own an F800R?i've just traded in my lovely 2009 F650GS/2 for a 2010 F800R. gorgeous although not everyone's cup of tea, surely.fun ride, but i was seeing double in the mirrors all 100km home from kingsland to devonport when i took delivery last week. very vibey. does this get better? any ideas? have checked out the F800 Riders Forum & Registry, but not much help.

Ah Shah, I can't believe you have sold the GS to become a cafe racer  🙄

I have the ST. A few of the F800's had a reputation for being vibey in the bars. Some folks put bar snakes in. I went for foam sleeves on the grips and that sorted the thing enough. That of course may not help the mirror problem.http://www.barsnake.com/BMW did a load of work on my bike dealing with the vibes and other issues and largely had no success.I see you found the F800 forum. The search function isn't working right now but there has been stuff on the vibey bars before. Some guys also use the poor mans barsnake. The other recommendation is to change the bar end weights. From memory my F800 comes with the heaviest weights.Good luck with it. (It looks like you're not alone with the problem)

I had an 800ST and found that the mirrors provided a perfect view of……………………………my elbows. I had to adjust position each time I wanted to see what was behind me.I eventually gave up and adjusted them so I could see my favourite person.............me. It was far more enjoyable than my elbows. On a 10 year old 1150GS now, should have bought one in the first place.Still miss the 800 though, sweet wee bike.

Red lined Daffy at Ruapuna a few months ago. It took me into pit lane, sat me down and gave me a good telling off.I won't be doing that again. 🙄
