Hi,I have a spot of gravel rash (from stuff being thrown up by the short front guard) on the bottom of my alternator support plate and have thought about removing it to do a paint repair job on it, as I now have a Fenda Extenda to fit to the front guard to prevent against such future damage.Has anyone removed the cover before and is it a PITA to remove the pulley on the end of the crankshaft, so as to allow the cover to come off? I thought of masking it in situ etc, but if you are going to do a good job, you may as well do it right.I guess all the GS riders will give me heaps now about what I am intending on doing? I guess if the cover was covered in mud, I would not see the gravel rash...  😆Cheers,Mike
