The BMW Car club has invited the BMWOR to join their M-run country drive.So if this sort of thing interests you, please read the invitation below for more info. They would like to have some idea as to how many people might attend, so please send me a pm asap if your are interested and I will pass on the numbers to them.As a BMW Car Club committee member it is my task to arrange an M Run country drive for Sunday the 5th of April. The BMW Car Club would like to invite members of both the BMW Owners Register and Porsche Club to accompany us on this drive. The destination is Waharau Regional Park in the Hunua/Kaiaua area south-east of Auckland in the Franklin District. I will forward route details shortly but as an overview the intention was to have a nice mix of meandering roads with coastal vistas and some flowing inland roads. While drivers and riders are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch to have in the park (weather permitting) we will also have a diversion past the Kaiaua Fish 'n Chips shop which is a bit of a local icon.The starting point will be from the Countdown/McDonalds car park at Greenlane with a meeting time of 08.45 and a prompt departure time of 09.00.I will provide detail of alternate routes home from Waharau to enable those people from different locations around Auckland and those with afternoon appointments to get home early or more directly.Kind regards,Zachary Lawrence
