I have just bought a 1150gs Adventure, I thought that the Adv came with driving lights and head light protector as standard. The bike I have does not have these items, does this mean they would have been optional extras.Could some one enlighten me please Just curious , bike is neat.Les

This is a great bike does yours have the low adventure gear box.All the items you list are extras so you'll have the fun of building a great bike.Below is a couple of forum sites which will help you out on the gear you will buy.http://www.ukgser.com/forums/index.phphttp://www.ukgser.com/forums/index.php

If you go into BMW they will be able to tell you as they will down load your bike details on the computer. Other wise you will find the bike will change through the gears quick and before you know it you will be in top gear. 6th gear will be OK at 65-70kph. On the standard 1150gs 6th gear was really high and 100kph was the best spped for 6th gearThe enduro box was not just a low first gear. This was my 1150
