I'm thinking about adding a new lid and was looking for some thoughts on what to check out.I currently have the Schuberth with the flip down visor. I like the flip down option. It's doesn't have a pinlock and I'd like that. So what I want is an all weather helmet, (the Schuberth gets water on the inside in the rain), I want one that doesn't mist up easily, one that's quiet and comfortable.I am wired to the bike.Any thoughts?

I currently wear a BMW System V, although it may not be so good as it is a flip up version, not a flip down type. I wouldnt buy another. Dean, do you really wear a Baehr? The last time you were out you were wearing a System IV?Desamo, go to Motomail, they will let you go over the Harbour Bridge (on yr bike) and back to try one out. Just remember they have a  device embedded in them that automatically charges your credit card if you go past Esmond Road!

System 5 has a pinlock visor option better than most I have seen has silicone bead between the 2 layers I have one on my Systenm 4 great in wet weather no fog.Given the above and that Schuberth make the System Helmets for BMW it my be worth checking out the 4 - 5 visor shape and see if you can retro fit the inner layer from a BMW helmet to the Schuberth Helmet. All you have to loose is a couple of visor's or only 1 if you are very carefull. The BMW inner visors is removable when they are new. The sun makes the plastic harder and not so flexible as they get older. My 10 cents worth boGSer

No just thought this may work. It comes wired and I understand it is very quite. I did have a new system 5 but traded it on a BMW enduro. It only took 2 years for the enduro to get here. still like my system 4. I don't like the system 5

Stick with the schuberth, buy a new visor as the anti fog coating does age, last one i brought was $150 from memory, find where the water is entering from and replace the seal. Got to be cheeper than a new lid!Failing than go out and buy a new C2!

CamA new Schuberth visor is now $319.00. I'm better off just buying another helmet for that. Last week I discovered the new helmets have pinlock. Inquiries with the distributor through a retailer found there were no pinlocks available. My plan was drill the visor and add the pinlock.I then got a call back advising they'll supply one (I guess they just pull it out of another helmet box until they get one through)...  $129.00. I've gone with that option for now but I think that's it for this helmet. I'll switch to a brand where bits are more readily available and more reasonably priced.Or order bits from overseas. Likewise the form inserts are priced beyond belief.Note to self, when buying a helmet check the cost of replacement bits and get an extra visor thrown in.

Interesting, I brought a new visor 3 months ago, who have you been dealing with? I use the guys at botany honda (because I can walk there from work), Had to buy a new visor after a wee accident with a wet cloth and antifog coating (say no more). I'm sure it was only $150 ish for a new one, maybe that's what I told the wife 🙂

Thanks - I'll check overseas. I don't mind paying a little more here but if it's double or triple then that makes no sense.Cheers and thanks for the update.
