    I have recently moved to NZ from the UK, I brought my tired old 1977 R100/7 and an even older 1954 Steib S350 sidecar with me. The intention being to re-kindle some life into the pair, marry them up and hit the road. The problem is I don't know where to start out finding reasonable priced spares, services – welding, paint & body work, powder coating etc. the usual stuff you need when restoring bikes. I would appreciate any pointers and tips, the bike is pretty much complete although quite a few bits have seen better days and so if there are any second hand parts available I would be interested. I am based in Taupo and look forward to hooking up with the BMWOR at the AGM, Cheers.

    Welcome to the forum and the Register. I can't help you with your query, but hope that you will get your bike going soon. Looking forward to catching up with you at the AGM.You'll need to get in contact with airhead, our resident sidecar expert. I am sure he'll be able to give you all the pointers you'll need.

    ya need to contact some of the old crusties we got on site. anyonne know the name of that old fella at Maungataroto that they can pass on.
