Dunno if it's the same stuff but,  I had my R1100s seat reupholstered using 15mm orthopaedic foam and the spoofy square sectioned skin that helps it work (at least that's wot the man said)  Made a helluva difference too.  Even at mate's rates it was $150 but money well spent.

Hmmm, I've been here before (with the staintune) and got stumped by the size of the file.  I know how to inflate a tyre, change oil, boil water but the simple task of posting a photo is beyond me.  Perhaps our webmaster could put a helpfile on this page somehow????CheersDumb-ass

I got an Air Hawk seat pad from a distributor in Australia. Google the name and you will get the details. These were designed originally for hospital use but over the years have been adapted for pilots, truckies and motorcyclists. I find it great.

Until very recently I worked for an office furniture manufacturer: we would occasionally get customers specifying memory foam (ex C-Tech, a.k.a. Vita Foam). Because I could, I used to test fly their chairs to see what the big noise is about memory foam: basically, when you sit on it it disappears. It is the damndest stuff to carry if you pick up a bundle to move it anywhere. It shrinks to nothing wherever you grab it, and kind of oozes out of your hands.When you sit on it, it moulds right up to you like marshmallow: you would want to be in an office with aircon, because it's really familiar with your body parts in hot weather.I couldn't understand what the supposed advantage of it was, neither could any of the upholsterers, neither could our designer.So it's good stuff on bike seats? Could be, the designer pedalled a Harley, so what would he know about motorcycles? (A Harley riding designer is surely an oxymoron?)
