Does anyone know out there if any type of special tool is required to get at the spark plugs?? Or what size socket is required to get at those suckers??Dave 😕
Do you have a full tool set? That would include a lead puller(plastic clamp that lets you grip the lead plug) and the socket to get the plug out.
That would be a no… have taken the covers off and taken the leads off…just can't reach those little buggers…
Maybe time to invest in a tool kit.Especially when going on long trips, when the need arise to replace a plug on the side of the road. 👿
Sounds like good advice… time to invest

What does "a full tool set comprise" and where is one obtainable - & likely cost?

Go http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/MainDiagrams.asp?mospid=47979 to see a parts list for an 1150GS toolkit.IMHO you're better off sourcing a selection of tools you need locally (Powerbuilt or similar) and getting a generic roll bag from somewhere like Motomail.Cheers,Garry

Thanks for the help. Have got the problem sorted. I'm going to get a few mates to make a small box for inside the pannier frame for tools.
