😳Hi allIs it ok to run a K&N air filter in the F650GS?Nothing adverse will happen, or nothing I need to change?I have them in my cars, so I might as well have it in my bike too as I have all the cleaning and oiling kits  🙂Cheers Scott

There have been several problems fitting K&N air filters on dual spark models (2004 onwards) but I'm not aware of problems with the K&N on earlier 650s. Have you checked out the chaingang?Great ride in the weekend, liked your photos too.Cheers,Garry

My 650 twin spark (2005) was fitted with a K&N filter.  No hassles with it and no concerns.  Only took it back for settings.

Thanks, when you say you took it back for settings, do you refer to BMW?? And did they change anything that you are aware of?I have read plenty, but the only thing I could find was that the airflow is increased but the efficiency goes down  😳Regards Scott

BMW did the settings.  No other work was done.  The filter change was mainly done because of dust and gravel road and cost of new filter from BMW. Little sound change, but that was it.
