    HiRecently I traded my 1985 K100RS for a 1993 K1100LT.  This was a great move on my part as I find it is more suited to my riding style.In the short time I have had it I have been about 2000 KM’s, being a mix of open road and city riding.  I have still to get use to the turbulence from the front screen (I use a flip top helmet so it does get a little noisy) but I do like the fact you can drop it down electrically if desired.As I live in Hamilton now, I find the roads around here excellent for getting out and exploring.  It is a lovely part of New Zealand, and very well placed for going south to Taupo, east to Rotorua or north to Auckland, all within a couple of hours.I would like to here from anyone that like doing short (200-400 KM ) runs that lives in the Waikato that may be keen on a going on a run or two occasionally.I have attached a couple of pictures of the LT.

    Welcome to the forum. I must admit, Hamilton is surrounded by some great riding areas. We often have register rides going South and it wouldn't be hard for you to join us. It would also pay to get in touch with the Waikato area rep for additional riding opportunities. Why don't you join us on the weekend at lunch ride to Kariotahi Beach or on the ride to Whangamata?Your bike looks to be in great condition and that seat looks very comfortable.

    Yes the machine is in very good condition.  The owner prior to me had the seat lowered a little, as you can see it is not standard.  It was a great move on his part for my comfort.As for weekend runs, the only day I have free is Saturdays, otherwise I would have travelled north.Thanks for the welcome.

    Welcome.South Island roads are more open and less treffic. That is why it is so nice in the South.Stay on two wheels. 😎

    I'll join you for a ride sometime, you're just down the road from me. I'm based in Auckland but I always enjoy the chance to stop in at Hamilton. I'll PM you when i'm coming through. Except the Sunday's. I will be down later this week, was thinking of Pizza on the main drag, can never remember the name of the place. I only know it by sight. About halfway down the mainstreet on the river side of the road. Some of the best woodfired Pizza I've had. because it'll be a night ride I was going to wait for the later in the week weather, hopefully Thursday. Otherwise its a cage trip on Saturday.Welcome to the forum.
