For the sixth time BMW Motorrad invites guests to the International Bikermeeting. All supporters and friends of the brand are warmly invited to join the party from July 7th - 9th in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. In 2005, over 30,000 fans came from more than 45 countries to experience the world of BMW Motorrad live.
Visitors can look forward to an exciting streetbike freestyle show with Chris Pfeiffer demonstrating his spectacular tricks on an F 800 S. With his breathtaking off-road show he pushes the HP2 Enduro to its limits - together with two times Erzberg Prologue winner Simo Kirssi. In addition to the extensive support program there is also a large exhibition of current BMW motorcycles as well as rider equipment and accessories - not to mention a world premiere.
As in previous years the Bikermeeting will be a time to party. On Friday evening the six-man live band "Living Planet" will be playing, creating a great atmosphere with its blend of rock and pop music. On Saturday the Bavarian and "Blechblos'n" can be heard - well remembered by visitors who attended the event in previous years. South American rhythms in the Travel Point tent once again round off the musical offerings this year. Romantics can enjoy guitar music around the campfire played by Byron.
There will also be film presentations to inspire visitors to undertake motorcycling adventures - for example Michael Martin on the topic of the "Deserts of the Earth". Herbert Schwarz, who travelled around Mexico on his R 1200 GS Adventure, will also provide a taste of the great outdoorse. Helge Pedersen, the Norwegian photographer, journalist and world traveller is also expected: he will provide exciting reports as he stops over at the Biker Meeting as part of his "Globeriders Worldtour 2006" from China to Munich, along with his team of 20 bikers.
Visitors can engage in active riding, with free on-site test rides, enduro training courses, try-out riding lessons (without motorcycle licence) in a closed-off area and guided panorama tours on exclusive routes. The big motorcycle convoy on Saturday this time passes through Austria.
