    I have just tried to fit my System 5 into the 1150RT panniers and it doesn’t bloody fit, unlike the Sys 4 which does. The Sys 5 will only just go into the top box but you need to sit on the lid to lock it. This will explain the scratches on top of my new hat.
    Just thought someone might be interested.

    I bet it would fit into the panniers of the R1200RT. This is how one thing leads to another. I found that even the system IV is a a tight fit. I must admit that this has not been a problem for me, as I only have panniers on when they are packed to the limit.

    Oh well, nothing else for it then. I will just have to buy a 1200RT to fit my new hat. Think I might have to try it out for size 1st.
